• together with the Dormitory Oversight Committee (DOC) addresses the residence halls concerns in terms of infrastructure, equipment and maintenance.

RESIDENCE HALLS IN THE DILIMAN CAMPUS

For Undergraduate

Residence halls for students enrolled in their undergraduate degrees.

• Ilang-Ilang Residence Hall- exclusive female dormitory that operates under the single fee system, which means that the total dorm fee includes payment for lodging and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner excluding Sundays) provided by the canteen concessionaire inside the residence hall.

Room type: quad sharing, single type bed
Toilet and Bath: common

Php 2,700.oo/month lecturer
Php 3,000.00/month graduate student

Plus: additional charges on appliances e.g. computer/laptop, electric fan

Rooms. Resident students are provided with individual bed and mattress, cabinet for clothes and shoes, study table, and a chair.
In the traditional residence halls, occupants per room may range from two (2) to four (4) students with common comfort room shared by the residents per corridor.

Meanwhile, the newly-built residence halls such as Centennial and Acacia residences have three (3) to six (6) occupants in a room with shared toilet and bath/ room. Residents are advised to bring their own electric fan.

Security and Maintenance. The Residence Halls provides a 24-hour security assistance through the female and male guards. A full-time maintenance staff is available for minor repairs of dormitory facilities. However, students are expected to clean up their own rooms and comfort rooms.

Internet access. All residence halls have wireless access to DilNet. Except for the newly-built residence halls where wireless access is limited in the lobby area, the traditional residence halls can connect to DilNet in their rooms.


ADMISSION POLICY

The Dormitory Admissions Committee (DAC) is tasked to evaluate and screen eligible applicants. This committee is composed of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of Student Housing, selected faculty members from different colleges and the Chair of the University Student Council.

Admission in the residence hall is based on income bracket and region of origin. Priority is given to those with the lowest income and with residence farthest from Metro Manila.


How to Apply for slot in the residence hall

Visit: http://dormapplication.upd.edu.ph/
Log-in using your full 9-digit student number with the dash symbol (e.g., 2016-12345) and your PIN. Fill-up the form online and submit requirements.

NOTE: Application for AY 2017-2018 will start on 1 May 2017.

ATTENTION: Freshies and Transferees who submitted online appeals

1.Get Dilnet account at the UP Computer Center. Once your get your account, email your student number and full name to dormappsupport@list.upd.edu.ph.

If you have Dilnet account, email your student number and full name to dormappsupport@list.upd.edu.ph.

Wait for its activation for you to log-in dormitory application site- https://dormapplication.upd.edu.ph

2.Once activated, log-in using your CRS account.

3.Fill up the online dormitory application and print, make sure you sign the document.

4.Prepare the following:
a.Online Dormitory application form
b.Proof of income of both parents (ITR should be 2015)/Certification of Indigency should be issued within the last 6 months
c.1 copy of 2x2 picture
d.Long brown envelope with your name and student number printed

5.Submit documents to the Office of Student Housing from 16-18 August 2016. Note: Only complete documents will be accepted.

6.Look for your name and student number in the sign sheet and affix your signature and the date.

7.Wait for your dormitory assignment in your dashboard.
Please note: Kalayaan and Centennial are the only residence halls available for freshies and transferees.

8.Proceed to your dormitory assignment and check-in

To appeal, please read below:

Appeals for residence hall for AY 2016-2017 will start Wednesday, 27 July to Sunday, 7 August 2016 through https://goo.gl/forms/G2FqxK179bjaFbwt2.

Results on Appeals will be released on Wednesday, 10 August 2016 in your respective dashboard.

Students who will be assigned a residence hall during the Appeals Period need to submit the requirements at the Office of Student Housing, Acacia Residence Hall from 11 -18 August 2016. An admission slip will be released in order to check-in the assigned residence hall. Meanwhile, transferees without passwords for the dormitory online application will be given temporary password through their email once they are assigned in a residence hall.

1. What does the “transfer from Yakal to Kalay” mean?
- With the limited freshmen admission this year due to the K-12 and the high demand for Yakal, the Dormitory Admissions Committee (DAC) decided to open Kalayaan Residence Hall to students with student number 2015. This move will free slots in Yakal and allow the students on waitlist to be admitted.

2. What does “waitlist” mean?
Applicants were put on waitlist because their preferred dormitory (preference 1 and 2) have reached its maximum number during the first batchrun.

3. What does “student maybe considered for 2nd batchrun” mean?
Student maybe considered for 2nd batch run means that the applicant failed to submit any of the following requirements- (1) proof of income; (2) TCG or CRS copy for 1st and 2nd semester of AY 2015-2016; (3) dormitory clearance OR the applicant did not indicate his/her dormitory preference in the application form.

Students may complete their requirements by submitting it to the Office of Student Housing, Acacia Residence Hall. Only those who have completed their requirements will be included for the 2nd batchrun.

4. Can those on waitlist or considered for 2nd batchrun still change their dormitory preferences?
Yes, for those on waitlist, they may change their dormitory preferences from July 12-13, 11:59 pm. For those considered for the 2nd batchrun, they may change their dormitory preferences during the 2nd batchrun application which is from July 16-22, 2016.

5. Can I apply now for the 2nd batchrun?
The online application for the 2nd batch run will open on 16 July up to 22 July 2016. Requirements must be submitted to the Office of Student Housing, Acacia Residence Hall on or before 4:00 pm, 22 July 2016.

1. The online dormitory application for MidSemester AY 2015-2016 and 1st Semester AY 2016-2017 will open on Tuesday, 12 April 2016, 8 AM until 16 May 2016, 5PM.
2. UP Diliman students including incoming freshmen who have CRS account will be able to fill up the online application at http://dormapplication.upd.edu.ph. For the upperclassmen, kindly use your DILNET account.
3. For those students who cannot log-in, kindly email to dormappsupport@list.upd.edu.ph
the following: Full Name and Student number. Kindly log-in again after 24 hours.
4. For MidYear AY 2015-2016, dormitory slots maybe limited due to the maintenance schedule of the residence halls.
5. The dormitory application team shall accept the required documents for residence hall application for 1st Semester, AY 2016-2017 beginning Monday, 25 April 2016, 12nn at the Acacia Residence Hall.
